Insuring Your Future...Today!
February Is The Month To...

TaxesBegin completing your income taxes.  If you use tax software, make sure you have the final version.  If you will use an accountant or tax preparation service, make an appointment now to avoid the last minute rush.
ShoppingPresidents Day Weekend is a big sale day.  Consider shopping winter sales for clothing for remainder of the season or next fall/winter.
PurchaseConsider purchasing items for spring---advance sales on air conditioners, fans, pool and lawn supplies take place; lower cost and best selections exist at this time
Winter SafetyKeep a "snow storm" safety kit ready with flashlights, batteries, transistor radio and a supply of food in case a storm hits
Monitor your propertyIf going away, have a trusted neighbor or friend check your house.  If a storm hits, keep gutters and leaders clear; remove snow and ice from walkways, driveways and parking lots as soon as possible after a storm
Plan VacationsThinking of a summer vacation? February is a great month to begin reviewing your plans and making reservations
Valuable DocumentsCheck your safety deposit box.  An annual visit will remind you where you have your keys.  Make sure you keep a copy of your documents elsewhere and keep an inventory of your box.  A trusted relative should have basic information about where the box is located.
InsuranceReview your life and disability insurance.  Make sure you have enough coverage, check your beneficiaries on life policies to make sure they match the details of your will.
