Insuring Your Future...Today!
January Is The Month To...

Budget

Control your spending for the new year by making a budget; track expenses and make a resolution to save something every month

Taxes

Review your withholding taxes.  If you are having too much taken out each payroll, file a new W4 form with your employer.  Put the additional take home pay into a savings program

Taxes

You may still be able to save taxes on the prior year!  If eligible, you can still contribute to an IRA and apply the deduction for last year

Taxes

Final estimated tax payment due on prior year

Taxes

W-2 Forms should be received from all employers during the prior year.  If you moved, make sure all employers have your current address.

Organize

You will begin receiving tax forms from employers, vendors and financial institutions; keep them in a safe place until you sit down and do your taxes

Software

Consider tracking your finances using a finance software program---you can monitor expenses, track bill due dates (to avoid late charges), manage your budget

Valuable Documents

Each January, review your will and make sure it is up to date and meets your current wishes; review tax implications

Insurance

Update your home or business inventory.  Keep a copy off premises--remember photos & videos are a great additional way to show your possessions
