BudgetCompare how you're doing on your budget vs expenses.  Revise the budget if necessary, or commit to controlling expenses (where possible) for the remainder of the year
Taxes & SavingsMany employers will allow you to join pension plans (401k plans and others), or increase your contributions in July every year--Talk to your employer about your options
Taxes2nd quarter estimated taxes are due
OrganizeMake a semi-annual review of your investment portfolio.  Review results against your financial goals.   Decide what to keep and what to sell
Childrens' SavingsIf children are working this summer, teach them savings & finance.  Open up a savings account (or IRA if they won't need the money for school or other costs).
Valuable DocumentsDo you have a living will (medical instructions)?  Have you considered being an organ donor?  Is your passport renewed?  Look at these and other miscellaneous documents for updating
InsuranceSummer brings increased exposures to lawsuits at summer events...Do you do volunteer work (make sure you have protection for lawsuits that could arise).  Car pooling children to summer events--make sure you have high automobile liability limits and a personal excess policy.  Remember, under your home insurance, there is no coverage provided for child care you may do for a fee---you will need to purchase a business policy
